Join Kohala Divers for a luxurious valet dive charter where all the details of your dive day are taken care of for you. Your dive guides like to take it slow underwater so that you have a relaxing time and can enjoy the scenery while also having respectful interactions with ocean creatures big and small.
Picking which sites you will visit once the boat has left the harbor guarantees the best dive experience possible as the Kohala Coast water conditions are ever changing. The crew will make their site choice by best visibility, calmest waters and variety for possible repeat dive guests. All the sites we visit have something great to offer every diver’s experience level and snorkelers as well.
Snorkelers (8 years old and up) are welcome. See the video below for a typical dive day visiting several dive sites.

Important: You need to be a Certified Diver to go on this tour (or join as a snorkeler):
Kohala Diver’s number one priority is the safety of all passengers and crew and requires all participants to have been diving in the past five years (or to have completed a refresher course). Guests must also all be able to swim against mild to moderate currents in open water. All divers must be able to maintain enough buoyancy independently to complete a three-minute stop and be comfortable diving in a group of up to six other divers.
Other important things to know are:
- Divers are required to bring their certification card. If you can’t find your card, please call us in advance to do a search online for your card. Divers without a certification card will be required to do a discover course or join as a snorkeler.
- Divers must be able to speak, read, and understand English. Due to the important information given by the crew, this is necessary for safety.
- Divers with a rating below OW level such as scuba divers or JR open water divers limited to a 40′ dive depth are welcome to join the charter at the price listed for their level. The higher price is to ensure proper crew with more strict guiding limits.
- Certified divers who have not dived in over a year are strongly encouraged to take a refresher course in the pool before their dive day. We also offer an option of a private guide, which can serve as a great refresher option.
