February – Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival
This festival showcases the annual blooming of Waimea’s cherry trees along Church Row Park, and the Japanese tradition of “hanami,” or cherry blossom viewing. More information at their facebook page.
March – Annual Waikoloa Ukulele Festival
The Waikoloa Beach Resort is home to the Great Waikoloa Ukulele Festival held annually in March. This event is a celebration of Hawaii’s favorite instrument and music. Ukulele enthusiasts can stop by to listen, or strum along and play their part with a great lineup of ukulele masters. There also will be a free ukulele workshop.

July – Parker Ranch 4th of July Rodeo

September – Aloha Festivals Waimea Paniolo Parade and Hoʻolauleʻa
A town wide party celebrating the rich past and traditions of Waimea’s ranching and paniolo traditions. It is a parade of the horses, riders, dancers and community groups that make up the fabric of community in this small ranching town, and features princesses on horseback with attendees decorated with the flowers of their respective islands. The Parade is followed by one of the best crafts show of the year featuring island foods, games, arts & crafts, Hawaiian products and live entertainment in Waimea Ballpark.
